JP Sport fishing has been in business since 1993 with over 20 years of experience in Quepos, Costa Rica. Considered one of the founders of sport fishing in the area mastering the Art of Fishing! From 1999-2019 records, JP Charters averages 380 trips per year.
The 2 vessel fleet maintains a great history of fishing with local partnerships in the marina to capture additional income in the High Season when the demand exceed their capacity. In High Season (December-April) JP Tours represents 5 to 7 boats to handle the large amount of incoming reservations. In the last season, there were $420,347 in Gross Sales reflecting 451 fishing trips.
Remodeled in 1993 by Captain Brendan Burke, who is a renowned fisherman. He worked on a custom plan to redesign the boat to fit all the needs for sport fishing to the maximum. The boat possesses a 420 Horse Power Caterpillar 3126 engine in optimized conditions; overhauled in early 2017 and 5050 A TwinDisc Transmission. 34’ Ocean Master:
Brought in 1999, to cover a need of growth by the company and thus to continue offering its clients a service of quality. It’s a 1993, 34ft Ocean Master, custom built in fiberglass, brought from USA. It has consolidated her name by its comfort and spacious center console. The boat possesses a 420HP Caterpillar 3126 engine, rebuilt in November 2018.
Vessels include aboard an extensive inventory of rod & reels, such as Penn Intl, Shimano and Adiwa, lures, circle hooks, GPS, radio, sounder that promises each client a high quality service on each trip.
Full Day: 7:30am – 4:00pm • $1,000
3/4 Day: 7:30am – 2:00pm • $800
1/2 Day: 7:30am – 12:00pm • $700
*Approx $200-$300 Net Profit Per Trip.
